Social Activity, Belonging, Acceptance
The social awareness wants to say the right thing in order to be accepted. The level is concerned with and identifies with how others see us; enjoys social activities, may get caught up in social chit-chat and superficial relating, finding it difficult to be real about deeper feelings.

The need is to risk one's image and get beyond feelings of personal prestige, to transcend the environment in which we are born which has given us our cultural brainwashing. Then the social drive becomes a desire to expand and share the new awareness with others. When we discover what otherness is, then we can get beyond the feeling of being the "other," allowing a real union to take place.

To share ourselves and to be able to relate to others.
